Graduation Information
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You may begin preparing for the upcoming ceremony by picking up your graduation accessories from the Bookstore beginning December 7, 2009.
Dear Prospective Graduates: Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You may begin preparing for the upcoming ceremony by picking up your graduation accessories from the Bookstore beginning December 7, 2009.
ANNOUNCEMENTS Five (5) announcements may be picked up from your campus Bookstore. Announcements are for your personal use only (they are NOT tickets to the ceremony-tickets are NOT needed). Students are encouraged to invite as many as guests as you would like - no admission tickets are needed.
CAP & GOWN Each campus Bookstore will have a listing of all graduate applicants. Please bring a picture ID with you when you pick up your cap and gown. Bookstore staff will be available to help you pick out the appropriate robe size. Note: We recommend that you pick up your cap & gown during the first two weeks of availability (December 7, 2009 - December 18, 2009) to avoid any delays or problems.
TASSEL Each campus Bookstore will have a sign posted designating appropriate tassel color. Please check to make sure you are given the correct color. (Only 1 tassel per student).

GRADUATION CEREMONY TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2009 6:00 P.M. US CELLULAR ARENA (400 West Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin)
Student Assembly - 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pick up name card, photo card and assemble with graduates in your program.
COAT CHECK: Please note that flowers or novelties (including purses and cell phones) may not be worn, carried or used during the ceremony. A coat check will be available, but will NOT check purses, phones, etc. Please Note: We recommend that you keep your personal belongings (purses, cell phones, etc) at home or with a family member or friend of your preference to avoid any problems at check-in. No electronic devices are permitted.
PICTURES: A professional photographer will take a full-length picture of you as you cross the stage. You will be given a white card to fill out. (THIS CARD IS ALSO IMPORTANT - PLEASE FILL OUT AND HOLD ON TO IT). Please Note: Family and friends are not allowed on the floor to take pictures during the ceremony.
CEREMONY INSTRUCTIONS: Instructions will be made approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony begins, please listen to all instructions carefully. ALSO, BE AWARE THAT ONCE THE CEREMONY BEGINS, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE UNTIL IT IS OVER.
WALKING ON STAGE: When it comes time to approach the stage, take both of your cards with you (name card and photo card). As you cross the stage, you will hand the reader both cards.
Other Servises Childcare services are not available. Please make appropriate child care arrangements in advance.
DEGREE INFORMATION Please be aware that at the graduation ceremony everyone will receive a blank diploma cover. Graduation is not complete until final grades are entered and all program requirements are met. For this reason, degrees will be mailed out approximately 6-8 weeks after the ceremony.
