MATC focuses on offering short-term, credit-based, faculty-led programs that utilize summer or winter break. Each program is run by an instructor with a passion for international travel and global issues. Students can expect pre-departure orientation, coursework, cultural immersion and self-discovery.

Study Abroad in Ghana, West Africa (pdf)
Go to Ghana for only$4,995.00Join us in as we travel to Ghana, West Africa and experience the country by living with host families, visiting rural and urban areas, and meeting with scholars to discuss Ghana’s cultural traditions. We will explore historical and cultural sites, including the departure point for the Middle Passage and the W.E.B. DuBois Museum. This 3-credit program is based in Accra, Ghana’s political/Administrative capital. This includes visiting Kumasi, Ghana’s cultural capital and the Cape Coast.

- Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Cultural Arts Center and shops
- Aburi Botanical Gardens and Aburi wood carving village
- Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle
- Kakum National Park and Canopy Walk
- Central Market and Tour Manhyia

- Production sites in rural villages: Aso Afua-Assuming, Bonwire & Ntonso
- Prempeh II Jubilee Museum
- Tour of Tema: Glana’s Planned Post-Industrial city
- W.E.B. DuBois Center
- While performing some community service

Submit the completed online registration form. The QR code is on the back page or use this link: Ghana Registration Form.- To hold your space, a nonrefundable deposit of $750.00 is due at the time of registration. Payments can be made to the Cashier’s Office.
- Copies of valid passports must be received by the time the final payment is made.
