SMART START
Get all the admissions information you need in this one-hour session for those who have decided on an MATC associate degree or diploma program.
You will: - Start the admissions process for a degree or diploma program - Receive a $30 application fee waiver - Get Financial Aid information - Receive a scheduled appointment for the Accuplacer academic assessment
DO THIS FIRST
To attend a Smart Start session you must first:
1. Reserve Your Date. Click the date you are interested in attending to complete the online reservation form. (An email address is required.) Make your reservation at least two business days before your session. You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of your submittal.
2. Complete an admissions application at matc.edu (https://activeapply.matc.edu/apply/secure/adm_login.asp) and submit it at least two business days before your selected Smart Start session.
3. Obtain your official high school transcripts, GED/HSED transcripts or diploma (unless earned through MATC). You must also obtain your official college transcripts if credits might transfer.
4. Bring the Criminal Background Check (CBC) fee, if applicable. This fee is $20 and is charged for many School of Health Sciences programs. Payment by check or money order only.
