February 20, 2008- Men's Baseball: Second year player Andrew Abromaitis was named to the NJCAA DIII Pre-season All-American Team.
February 20, 2008- The Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association released the 2008 All-State team. Guard Billy Mimis and Center Mike Tyler were named to the team.
February 20, 2008- The Wisconsin Technical College Conference released the 2008 All-Conference Team. Stormer Guard Billy Mimis, Forward Thomas Jones, and Center Mike Tyler were all named to the team.
February 18, 2008- The Women's Basketball team won their first game of the season at the best possible time, defeating UW-Washington 46-44 in the first round of the WJCAA State Tournament. The Women will now play Wednesday night at UW-Fon du Lac at 6:00pm.
February 18, 2008- The Men's Basketball season officially came to an end Monday as the hosting Stormers were defeated 69-71 against UW-Washington.
February 8, 2008- Men's Basketball Postseason. In the first round of the Wisconsin NJCAA Region 13 playoffs, the MATC Stormers will host the Cougars of Mid-State Technical College on Monday February 11th at 7:00pm. The game will be played at UW-Waukesha Campus Gym, 1500 University Drive, Waukesha, WI. The winner of the game will advance to play the winner of the Madison Area Tech-Western Tech matchup also being played on Monday February 11th. The second round will be played on Wednesday Feb. 13th. Details to follow.
February 4, 2008- Women's Basketball Postseason. In the first round of the Wisconsin NJCAA Region 13 playoffs, the Stormers will be hosted by the Cavaliers of Western Wisconsin Technical College on Monday, February 11, 2008 @ 6:00pm. The Cavaliers home games are played at Holy Cross Seminary Gym, 3170 East Avenue South, Lacrosse, WI 54601. The winner of the Milwaukee-Western matchup will travel to Madison Area Technical College on Wednesday, February 13. The Wolfpack play at the Truax Campus of MATC-Madison, 3550 North Andersen Road, Madison, WI. The winner of the February 13 game will represent Wisconsin in the NJCAA Region 13 Tournament February 29th and March 1st in Minnesota.
January 30, 2008- The Men's Basketball game vs. Fox Valley Technical College has been rescheduled for Thursday February 7th @ 7:00pm. Fox Valley Tech plays their home games at UW-Fox Valley, 1478 Midway Road, in Mensha, WI.
December 1, 2007- Athletic Director Carl Morency announces that the annual spring athletic banquet will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Details will be posted on this page asap.
October 29, 2007- Along with being named to the WTCC All-Conference and NJCAA Region 13 All Region Teams, Chris Mersenski, a first year defensemen, was named to the WJCAA All-State Soccer Team.
October 25, 2007- Freshman Volleyball player Trisha Mauer was named to the WTCC All-Conference team.
October 24, 2007- MATC Soccer players Chris Mersenski, Jesse Schneider, Radolslav Vidovic, and Julio Cornejo were named to the WTCC All-Conference Team and NJCAA Region 13 All Region Team.

- The Stormers Women's Volleyball Team finished 3rd at the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association Region 3 Tournament. Freshman setter Brittany Wahlen was voted WJCAA All-State.
October 15, 2007- At the close of regular season play the MATC Men's Soccer team finished second to Madison Area Technical College in the WTCC Conference. Madison will host the Stormers on Saturday, October 27 at noon in the NJCAA Wisconsin Region 13 Playoff. The winner of this game will advance to the NJCAA Region 13 Tournament.
October 10, 2007- The MATC Women's Volleyball Team has finished second in the Wisconsin Technical College Conference and earned a trip to the National Junior College Region 13 Tournament. Madison Area Technical College will host the tournament on Friday November 2 and Saturday November 3. Game till will be posted at a later date.
October 8, 2007- MATC Golfers Dan Doltzer and Creighton Dracca were named to the Wisconsin Technical College Conference All-Conference Team. Doltzer was also named to the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association All-State Team. |
