College, Campus and Class Sizes

Milwaukee Area Technical College is the largest technical college in the state, and is a key driver of the economy in southeastern Wisconsin. MATC offers more than 170 degrees, diplomas and certificates. Many students start their bachelor's degree at MATC by transferring credits to participating four-year colleges or universities. About 60,000 students per year attend the college's four campuses, numerous evening centers and distance learning programs. Overwhelmingly, MATC graduates build careers and businesses right here at home.

The Downtown Milwaukee Campus encompasses four blocks in downtown Milwaukee. Campus buildings are connected by efficient skywalks.

The Mequon Campus encompasses 200,000-plus square feet located in a picturesque setting at 5555 West Highland Road. It is about five miles west of I-43 and about four miles east of Green Bay Road.

The Oak Creek Campus sits on 102 acres just east of I-94.

The West Allis Campus covers about two blocks and is in a friendly neighborhood south of I-94 and east of I-894.

The student-per-teacher ratio is 16 to 1, on average.
