Degrees and Diplomas

Degrees

An Associate in Applied Science degree or an Associate in Applied Arts degree can usually be earned in two years of full-time study. Associate in Applied Arts (A.A.A.) and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree courses are numbered in the 100-series. Some of these courses may transfer to four-year colleges for credit toward earning a bachelor's degree.

The 64-credit Associate in Arts (A.A.) and Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees transfer to many four-year colleges and universities. You can enter a four-year college with junior standing on your way toward a bachelor's degree. These degrees require two years of full-time study.  A.A. and A.S. degree courses are numbered in the 200-series.

Diplomas

If you wish to prepare for a specific job or upgrade your job skills, MATC offers specialized programs that can lead to a technical diploma in your chosen field.  These programs can vary in length from one semester to one year.  Diploma courses are numbered in the 300-series.
