The Registered Nursing program prepares you for employment in a variety of health care settings. Extensive laboratory experiences allow you to sharpen technical skills, and clinical study allows you to participate in supervised patient care in health care settings. Upon graduation, you may take the RN licensure exam. Further education will enhance your potential for specialist and supervisory positions. Core skills include verbal and written communication skills, physical and emotional stamina, the ability to work under stress and a sincere concern for people. You must complete a Nursing Assistant course before enrollment in this degree program. The demand for RNs is high; job prospects are excellent.
