High School Contract

If you wish to develop skills and explore occupational opportunities before entering MATC's associate degree programs, look into the High School Contract program. High School Contract is open to students of local high schools, as well as students of MATC's Adult High School, High School Equivalency, and GED programs. 

Instruction is offered in automotive, business, carpentry, computer applications, computer aided drafting, computer numerical control, desktop publishing, food service, health care careers, machine shop, nursing assistant, small engines, and welding.

High school students can make arrangements to explore career opportunities, and/or gain job-entry skills, through the career counselor at their school. Others can call 414-297-6341 at MATC.


Student Employment Services

At MATC's Student Employment Services office (SES), you can find out about thousands of careers as well as get access to local job postings. The SES can help you:

  • Define your job search and career goals
  • Write a resume and cover letter
  • Evaluate employment trends

MATC Courses for Adult High School Students

MATC has a collection of courses to introduce you to a variety of career areas, and help you in making informed decisions when choosing career programs. Many of these courses may be taken at the same time you are enrolled in Adult High School courses. Consult with your advisor or counselor when selecting these courses. 

Some of these courses include: Accounting 1, Baking Production 1, Introduction to Hotel/Hospitality Management, Business Career Planning, Introduction to Food Service/Hospitality Industry, Dietetic Technician Orientation, Introduction to Early Childhood Education, Introduction to Environmental Health, Comprehensive Graphic Design, Fundamental Photography, Introduction to Graphic Technologies, Introduction to Human Services, Fundamentals of Interior Design, Business Career Management, Marketing Principles, Introduction to Travel Services, Music Business, Introduction to Paralegalism, Principles of Real Estate, and more.


Exploring Careers: Overview Courses

These courses provide Adult High School credit: Exploring Technical Careers, Health Care Concepts and Careers, Success Strategies for School, Career Preparation and Exploration.
