Office Technology Assistant is a two-semester technical diploma program that prepares graduates for entry-level positions in today's fast-paced office environment. Students develop skills in business English; office procedures including proper use of telephone, fax, and photocopier; software applications; and basic office accounting. Career opportunities are excellent. Job titles include office support, office assistant, word processing specialist, clerk typist, file clerk, receptionist, clerical assistant and clerical support. Core skills include above-average keyboarding skills and the ability to work as a member of a team. Some courses are available at the West Allis campus.
