This program does not have a waitlist. Students are admitted through a petition process. Please read all information through the links on the right.

A criterion considered in the petition process is verification of student residency. Students selected via the petition process are chosen based on MATC district residency, then Wisconsin non-district residency, followed by non-residents, unless otherwise stated.

Health Unit Coordinator is a 16-credit, short-term technical diploma program that  focuses on preparing you to coordinate non-direct patient care tasks including order transcription, clerical support functions, extensive customer service interactions, as well as taking direction from physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals. Health unit coordinators are valued professionals of the health care team and the demand for this profession continues to grow. For additional career information, visit www.nahuc.org

Added Career Value — You're well on your way toward earning the Healthcare Services Management associate degree after you complete this diploma program. All courses in the Health Unit Coordinator diploma program count toward the associate degree. Ask your program advisor for details.
