Environmental and Pollution Control Technology is an associate degree program that promotes the protection, sustainability and enhancement of the overall environmental quality of life. Under appropriate supervision, technicians will apply procedures to identify, evaluate and control hazards to the environment in general, and human health hazards in particular, affecting our air, water and food that may cause sickness or impaired health/well-being. Graduates are employed in private industry, consulting firms and governmental agencies. Typical job titles are environmental health specialist, food safety inspector, environmental & health safety technician, and water treatment operator.
