Dental Technicians make dental restorations (metal and ceramic crowns and bridges). During the two-semester, 16-credit program, students acquire hands-on experience in a well-equipped on-campus dental lab. The job outlook for dental technicians is strong; many move up to become department supervisors, laboratory managers and laboratory owners. Dental technicians also find employment as sales or manufacturers' representatives. Core skills include good hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently.
