In this program, you will learn procedures to recognize and relieve symptoms of cardiac disease. The program begins with one year of general coursework. The second year focuses on a subspecialty: either invasive CVT (Cardiac Cath Lab) or noninvasive CVT (Echocardiography). Laboratory instruction occurs on campus and in area hospitals. The program offers flexible part-time enrollment as an option. The continuing demand for cardiovascular technicians is high because of an increase in cardiovascular disease and the aging population. Most job placement is in hospital departments, and with experience, physicians' offices and sales. For more information regarding the Cath Lab, please visit www.cathlabdigest.com or www.sicp.com. For more information regarding Echocardiography, please visit www.asecho.org
