MATC's International Education programs educate and train students for a global marketplace and provide significant benefits to students and employers.
Want to see Frankfurt? Study Spanish in Mexico? Experience an internship in Quebec? Through MATC's International Education programs, you can tour and study around the world. MATC offers study abroad programs, language immersion, cultural tours, international courses and international events on campus.

International Programs for Students
Through these programs, students gain a broader view of the world and acquire foreign language skills.
- Student Exchange Programs
- International students will live with host families in the Milwaukee Area, take coursework at MATC, and receive hands-on experience.
- MATC students stay with a host family, study their degree or diploma programs at their host colleges or universities and receive hands-on experience.
- Study Abroad Programs
- Tours include classes, cultural experiences, and travel to nations throughout the world.
- Tours range from one week to one month.
- Language Immersion Opportunities
- Designed for professionals and students interested in acquiring functional fluency in Spanish and learning about the Mexican culture.
- Participants are immersed in the culture and the language, attend a language institute, live with a host family, and participate in excursions to cultural sites.
- Intensive Spanish classes, cultural seminars, special-interest classes, home stays and optional excursions give participants immediate, practical knowledge for the classroom and workplace.

International Programs for Faculty and Staff
These programs encourage faculty and staff to look beyond the U.S. for professional and personal growth opportunities. These include:
- Educator Exchange
- Educators travel to Germany, Netherlands, Finland, China, Quebec and a variety of other countries.
- Educators live in a host home, attend classes and learn about their host's educational system.
- Fulbright Seminars in International Education
- Fulbright opportunities are available at various times of the year and for various durations. They include:
- Travel to many different countries
- University visits
- Student meetings in the hosting country
- Study aboard presentations
- Dialogues about the hosting country's educational system
- Cultural events of the hosting country
- International Conferences
- Intended to develop sustainable systems of education
- Address educational reform
- Participants learn from their international experiences
- Professional Development Opportunities
- A series of curriculum development workshops allow faculty the opportunity to interact with experts in many disciplines related to international studies.
- Language Immersion Opportunities

Prospective International Students
Prospective international students may apply for admission to attend MATC and enroll in an Associate Degree or Diploma program.

NOTE: Due to Department of Homeland Security restrictions regarding student visas, students holding an F-1 visa will not be permitted to apply for admission to a program that utilizes a petitioning process to admit students.
