Your Contribution Makes a Positive Difference
The Milwaukee Area Technical College Foundation, Inc. plays an increasingly important role in the development and success of MATC students and the community.
About two-thirds of MATC students receive financial aid, scholarships and/or grants. Without this assistance, many MATC students would not be able to afford an MATC college education. In 2007-08, the Foundation awarded 250 scholarships to MATC students and secured more than $420,000 in teaching and learning equipment -- technology for use in the college's classrooms and labs.
Your contribution to the Foundation can make all the difference to a student. In fact, it is often the difference between building a successful career or a lifetime of economic uncertainty.
An MATC education is a valuable commodity for the individual and the community. Consider what MATC does:
- For every year of completed study, students earn an extra $3,900 annually.
- The average annual starting salary for associate degree graduates is $34,300.
- More than 98% of graduates live and work in southeastern Wisconsin, building local careers and filling area jobs.
- For every $1 invested in MATC, taxpayers are returned $9.26 through graduate and former student lifetime earnings, social cost savings and more.
- Within 3 months of graduation, 90% are employed or continuing there educations.
Your support is needed to help the Foundation remain vital to students and the community. Call today, 414-297-6627, or go to the "How to Give" link accessed on the navigation bar.
