This certificate consists of four courses. The first two cover the Green Belt body of knowledge in the Six Sigma problem-solving methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The third class is the implementation of a Six Sigma project. The fourth class covers additional topics within the Black Belt body of knowledge including business performance metrics, customer requirements, benchmarking, change management, design of experiments, and statistical process control through the DMAIC process. The concepts of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to "build quality in" at the design stage will also be covered.
This program begins with the spring 2012 semester.
MATH-260, BADM-104 or previous statistics coursework are required to enroll in these certificate courses.
