Paralegal Certificate
Downtown Milwaukee Campus

This certificate is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) and is designed for students who already have completed a baccalaureate degree, with at least 18 of those credits in Liberal Arts courses. Students receiving this certificate are required to work under the supervision of an attorney, to avoid the unauthorized practice of law.

Curriculum effective 2007-2008.

Important Information

  • Interested students are required to submit an MATC Admissions Application (fee not required) to: MATC Milwaukee Campus Admissions, 700 W. State St., Milwaukee, WI 53233-1443. The Paralegal Certificate Program Code is 00-110-1. Pick up an application at an MATC campus, or have one mailed to you. (Note: Please drop off or mail application. Online application for certificate students is not yet available.)
  • Applicants should submit an official college transcript to the MATC Milwaukee Campus Admissions office.
  • Participating students may enroll in other Paralegal courses concurrent with PLEGAL-101 (Introduction to Paralegalism).
  • Upon completion of the certificate courses, students must initiate a request for the certificate with Dr. Mohammad Dakwar, Associate Dean, Business and Information Technology Division, MATC Downtown Milwaukee Campus, 700 W. State St., Milwaukee, WI 53233-1443.
