Re-Engineering Our Skilled Workforce
The Place: Southeastern Wisconsin The Challenge: Global Competition The Time: Now The Answer: ECAM
Welcome to the Center for Energy Conservation and Advanced Manufacturing. This new, $9 million, 34,000-square-foot applied technology center at the MATC Oak Creek Campus is designed to answer the competitive challenges facing manufacturers in greater Milwaukee.
ECAM teaches high-skill competencies, but that is far from the only reason we exist. We also teach new ways for employees to work together efficiently. In the realm of systems and strategies for energy conservation, we provide technology training and best-practice counsel.
A public-private venture, ECAM was made possible by donations of money, technology and labor. Our partners range from industry giants; to small, progressive manufacturing companies; to local trade unions.
What is ECAM all about?
In the broadest sense, it's about more efficient integration of human systems and technological systems with the goal of lower costs and improved productivity.
