STEM Nights Info Sessions Spotlight Next-Wave Careers
For prospective students and their parents, Milwaukee Area Technical College has begun a new series of information sessions called STEM Nights, exploring next-wave careers involving science, technology, engineering and math. Attendees also will receive a tour of the Center for Energy Conservation and Advanced Manufacturing (ECAM), and participate in hands-on activities. Each session highlights a different emerging technology. STEM Nights are held on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., in the ECAM building at the Oak Creek Campus, 6665 S. Howell Ave. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
Upcoming topics include:
April 16 - "Engineering is Everywhere," presented by Aimee L. Davis, instructor in mechanical design; and Terese M. Dressel, instructor in civil engineering technology. Before joining MATC's faculty, Davis worked in product design and testing; and Dressel was a structural engineer who designed structural steel buildings, focusing on light-gage design for commercial and industrial buildings.
These sessions are open to all, but you must register in advance.
