Information Technology

Information Technology (IT) leads in the implementation of leading edge technology.

Information Technology is comprised of the following:

• Information Systems - Responsible for providing software applications support, technology consulting, integration services, and project management necessary for support of the academic and administrative functions of the college.
• Technical Services - Provides technical support for MATC's computer network and administrative/academic host computer systems to support the activities of students, faculty and staff. This includes computer systems administrators in the areas of network management, network administration, network infrastructure, systems administration, and data base administration.
• Telecommunications - Responsible for digital voice communications, data communications, both digital and analog through Internet access, fax communications, modem access, touch-tone registration, cellular phones and phone mail. The HELP-Line number is 297-6541. The staffed hours are 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with phone mail available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• Helpdesk Services - Provides computer hardware and software support for academic and administrative functions of the college, provides support for the general purpose labs at each campus, and provides helpdesk services at each campus.
• Desktop Technology - Provides planning, implementation, and management services for desktop computer hardware and software necessary to support the administrative and academic needs for students, faculty and staff.
