Grants and Development Department Services
The Grants and Development Department is responsible for providing the following services to MATC staff and to selected local collaborative institutions and agencies districtwide:
- Identification and dissemination of external and internal grant funding information.
- Provision of information and technical assistance for:
Seeking specific grant funding sources
Planning and writing grant proposals
Implementing and managing projects
Designing and implementing new development initiatives
Communicating with funding agencies
- Review and interpretation of grant funding source guidelines and other requirements.
- Preparation of reports on grant funded project activities and outcomes for project staff, executive administration and MATC Board.
- Compliance with funding source grant outcomes reporting.
- Collection of requested grant proposal related and grant activity related information.
- Design and implementation of project related institutional studies and of special development projects, to enhance and support grant development, institutional planning and decision making.
- Negotiation of grant awards and project modifications with funding resources.
- Preparation for project activity start-up and operation.
- Provision of staff development opportunities regarding grant seeking, proposal writing and project management.
- Coordination of college-wide grant project management.
- Oversight of Federal and private grant funded projects.
- Review of eligibility, quality, appropriateness, accuracy and compliance with submission requirements of grant application proposals.
- Design of special projects to enhance and support grant development, institutional planning and decision making.
- Approval of operating budgets for grant funded projects.
- Development and maintenance of collaborative efforts and partnerships with other local agencies and institutions regarding educational and occupational training initiatives in the district area.
