A message from MATC District Board Chairperson Mark F. Foley:

The MATC District Board has selected four finalists in our search for the college’s next president. Finalists were chosen after an expert-led national search with a focus on diverse communities, a rigorous review of applications, and initial interviews with board members.

We are now excited to welcome these excellent leaders to our college community for campus visits. During their visits, finalists will participate in a full day of sessions, including “Meet and Greet Sessions,” with various groups including students, all faculty and staff, administrators (All Leadership Meeting group), employee union leaders, the President’s Cabinet, the MATC Foundation Board of Directors, and business/community leaders. Additionally, each candidate will offer formal remarks at a “Candidate Presentation and Q&A” open to all students, employees, and the public.

Thank you in advance for participating in this important part of our national recruitment effort. Feedback has been critically important throughout the process. Fifty students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members attended input sessions and 90 people completed online surveys, which assisted search firm Greenwood Asher & Associates and the board in the search. We remain on track to have a new president in place by July 1, immediately following the retirement of President Vicki J. Martin, Ph.D.

Sincerely,
Mark F. Foley
Chairperson, MATC District Board
